Promise Kept

Am I writing this post just for the sake of it? Hell No.

Files outside broken doors

Head counts reach to thousands

Hands spread,

Arms outstretched

For food

Money

(weaponry

exchanges hands)

and still

waiting for more.

Greedy, no

Impoverished

Eyes eat up more

Than goes in the mouth.

At the end of the day

Let them eat cake.

Your poem is beautiful too both poems are to the point and hoping to make a difference. Sadly the rich fat cats will always cream off the best and everyone else down the line has to scramble for crumbs until all that is left is the dust for the starving! Money goes to Money rich buy arms and forge wars to make money those that sell arms make money so it goes! Sorry don’t get me started : Enough said .I think you poem is so clever people have to stop and think when they read it.Thank you for sharing and re inspiring me! xx
